What is your happiest memory? Describe it in rich detail — the setting, the sights, the sounds, the smells.
One of my happiest times was waking up on a glorious early summer day and looking out my window to the lake. It was so sparkly. I decided it was a perfect day to catch a turtle. I waked down to the shore and saw blue morning glories trailing up the cliff at my grandmother’s pier. The seaweed was flowing rhythmicly with the gentle waves. I put my hand up to shade my eyes from the shining sun on the water. I was looking for a turtle. Right away I saw movement on some seaweed. I walked out into the water as i was rolling up my shorts. Then right there was an adorable’ baby Painted Turtle.I picked him out of the seaweed and he was mine!!!! Never before had a goal come to me so fast and been accomplished so wondrously. I was about nine years old at the time, but I learned that when i get a strong feeling….let it lead me. I kept my turtle for a day or two then let him go because he just did not seem happy trapped in a bucket.
